For the May late start STEM project our class did the Paper Chain Challenge. Students were in pairs, and provided with 2 pieces of construction paper, 2 pairs of scissors, and one 15 inch piece of masking tape. With these supplies they were to keep working on their paper chain until they ran out of supplies. Before we began each group had 5 minutes to plan their strategy. Then it took them about 40 minutes to build their chains. We had amazing results from this simple paper chain STEM challenge. The kids did a wonderful job of working together!

Our class did a wonderful job of managing their supplies so that they could make the longest chains possible. It was an amazing example of team work and creativity!
I think this was our best STEM project this year. :-)
