Homecoming Friday was a busy afternoon at Marshall!

40th Day of School

Thursday was our 40th day of school. We made a jack-o-lantern page for our Zero My Hero booklet.

Story Problems

In math this week we learned how to add story problems. We played a game where students with story problem cards tried to find the person with the matching addition sentence to partner up with. Once they found their match they worked together to answer the problem.

Cowtown Field Trip

Today we went to the Old Cowtown Museum in Wichita. Our class was able to see a stage coach, wagon, train station, farm house, grain scale house, general store, and a blacksmith's shop. Students were able to grind and sift dried corn, make herb and floral nosegays, knead pieces of bread dough, and see what their names would look like in morse code at the telegraph office. Everyone had a good time despite not getting to see everything due to our late start.
