Just a few reminders....

Students need to have pencils, crayons, scissors, and glue available at home for completing homework. Homework is always due back the next school day. Please help your child remember to do their homework and put it back in their backpacks. The consequence for missing homework is five minutes on the wall at recess.
Student planners will come home everyday and need to be returned everyday. Parents please check your student's planner on Friday and sign it. We check planners each Monday morning to see if you looked at it and signed it.
If you would like to send birthday treats for your child's birthday please notify me in advance. Remember that we have nut allergies and cannot have any food that contains nuts. If the birthday is on a weekend you can choose to do it on Friday or Monday. Summer birthdays can pick a day in May to celebrate if you would like. We usually celebrate birthdays at 2:50.
Library books are due back by Thursday morning.

Student of the week

Each week a different student will be Student of the Week. That student will share their student of the week poster, family photos, and estimation jar.

Interviewing students

We will interview three students a day and until we run out of names. This is a way for us to get to know each other better

On the Hall Wall

We hung the t-shirts we made at open house, and we also hung up our mice.

All first grade students received an apple and gummy worm on the first day of school.

We filled out a first day of school booklet.

Students walked around the room getting to know each other by asking questions about things they liked.

Students had to read the check sheet on their desks and follow the directions.

Parents and student signed the Marshall Compact.

Families put away school supplies.

Our class has two students that are new to our district.
