Our Eggcellent Egg Riddles

This week we wrote egg riddles. Each student chose an egg laying animal to write clues about. The clues were written on egg shaped paper. Then we made a cover page decorated like an Easter egg. Finally we drew the answer to our riddle on a back page. Our 6th grade helpers tied colorful yarn bows on the egg riddles and hung them in the hallway.

If Thing One and Thing Two Came to Your House ...

During Seuss week we wrote about what would happen if the Things from The Cat and The Hat got loose in the house. Each student made Things using their handprints.

Annual Staff Seuss Theater

In celebration of Dr. Seuss' birthday the Marshall staff performed a readers theater of the Seuss book What Pet Should I Get. All 3 first grade teachers performed as per our usual tradition. Mr. Corns decided to join in the fun this year as well as Tammi Burtin from our district office. The students had a great time and cheered us on. Students also brought their stuffed animals and wore hats today as well.

Tornado Spirit

The students were really excited to cheer on our state bound wrestlers last week. They chanted "Go Big Red" and "Eureka Tornadoes" as the boys walked the halls. They also gave the wrestlers tornado signs that they had colored.
Congratulations Kolby, Chuck, and Kendall!
