Touring a Wichita Fire Station

After watching the play at Isley we stopped by the fire station where Adeline's dad works. We got to tour the station which has a day room and sleeping quarters for the firemen. We learned that they have to stay there a full 24 hours before their shift is over. We watched Mr. Helten suit up in his gear crawl around and pretend to rescue Lizzy. We also looked at one of their trucks and asked them lots of questions.

The Caterpillars are Growing!

Here is a picture of the caterpillars taken on Monday.

CYT's production of Tarzan

The students really enjoyed CYT's production of Tarzan. The week before attending the play we had students watch the Disney movie Tarzan upon which the play was based. All of the actors in the CYT plays are children ages 5-18. They produce family friendly musical productions and also offer theater field trips for schools. In the summer they have acting classes, dance classes, and theater camps.
