The New Class Pet

We have a new class pet named Hedgie. This cute little hedgehog was given to me by a former student and her family. I'd like to thank them for entrusting me with this little guys care! 

Of course the class is super excited and we have been learning some things about hedgehogs and their care. He's still pretty shy right now as he adjusts to his new home. The students have done a nice job of trying to keep the classroom noise down so that they don't scare him while he's sleeping. 

Caterpillar to Butterfly

On Tuesday we received our cup of caterpillars.  Now we are watching them as they eat and grow bigger. 

Earth Day Writing

Last week we learned about the three R's, reduce, recycle, reuse. Students wrote papers about how to help the Earth.

Read and Romp

On late start Wednesday PreK - 2nd grade enjoyed rotating through 11 different stations. At each station students listened to a fable and participated in an activity. Everyone had a lot of fun and we can't wait until next year. Thank you to all of our parent volunteers that make this wonderfully fun day possible!
