March Late STEM Day

In honor of Dr. Seuss, we read the book Horton Hatches the Egg. Then all of first grade joined forces with Mrs. Nobles 7th & 8th grade students to build a nest that could protect an egg from the weight of Horton the elephant. Horton was a gallon jug of water and students made their nests out of a variety of items such as paper bowels, styrofoam cups, cardboard tubes and many other items. Our little guys loved working with the big kids and said it was the best STEM project ever. We'd like to thank the junior high students and Mrs. Noble for helping us with our Horton STEM project!
